The Cisco VG 224 is a Cisco IOS® high-density 24-port gateway for analog telephones, fax machines, modems, and speakers in Cisco CallManager-based enterprise voice systems. By tightly integrating these devices with IP-based telephony systems, it provides enterprises with greater manageability, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. Businesses can also use the Cisco VG 224 with Cisco CallManager Express to more effectively enhance the Integrated Services Router (ISR) environment. Both of these topologies support the need for high-concentration, large-scale analog voice ports to provide modem calls, fax calls, and analog supplemental services.
The Cisco VG 224 provides Cisco IOS management capabilities by using 24 analog phone lines as extensions in Cisco CallManager or Cisco Call Manager Express systems in an extremely compact 19-inch rack-mount chassis.
