Cisco InterCloud is a highly secure, open and flexible solution that allows you to fully and freely deploy your workloads based on your business needs. The solution ensures that network security, quality of service (QoS), and access control policies implemented in public clouds are similar to those previously implemented in the data center. In addition, the increase in capacity also makes no distinction between internal and external clouds.

Self-service hybrid resources are available through end-users and IT gateways
Workload configuration and bi-directional migration between enterprise and cloud resources
Implement end-to-end security by implementing a consistent policy across the hybrid cloud

Architecture
InterCloud solutions include InterCloud Director, InterCloud Secure Fabric, and InterCloud Provider Enablement Platform. Together, these three components enable you to create application workloads and migrate between public and private clouds.
InterCloud Director provides a single console where users can configure the workloads of private and public clouds. In addition, the end-user and IT-administrator portals support self-service use of hybrid cloud resources, and can help to achieve policy management across a hybrid cloud environment.
InterCloud Secure Fabric is responsible for establishing connections between multiple clouds. The component maintains all network and security policies related to connection work in order to ensure a high degree of security for this workload migration connection.
The InterCloud Provider Enablement Platform is a virtual appliance that is deployed and hosted by a cloud provider. This component allows you to quickly add vendors without having to create or add their APIs. It allows you to understand your vendor's environment, helping you move workloads from the enterprise to the vendor's cloud environment.

Cisco InterCloud Business Edition includes InterCloud Director and InterCloud Secure Fabric. Designed for large enterprises, it can connect to large-scale cloud (such as Azure and Amazon) and service provider running InterCloud Provider Enablement Platform.
